Haneda airport hits 50 million passenger mark

Tokyo's Haneda airport celebrates as the annual number of passengers for domestic flights topped the 50 million mark Dec. 28 for the first time since the airport opened in 1931. The ceremony at the airport, Japan's main domestic hub, was attended by officials from the Transport Ministry, terminal operator Japan Airport Terminal Co. and seven airlines with domestic flight operations at the airport. ==Kyodo
