Bankers collect offerings at Kyoto shrine
Bankers count offerings Jan. 4 at Fushimi Inari Shrine in
Kyoto, western Japan, made by visitors during the New Year holidays.
Some 2.8 million people, 90,000 more over a year before, visited the
shrine Jan. 1-3. The shrine deity is regarded as a guardian of
business prosperity.
