Design of new prime minister's residence unveiled
This drawing shows a model of the prime minister's new official residence (center right), due to be completed in fiscal 2001. The new residence, to be built west of the present one (center left), will have five stories above and one story below the ground. The total construction cost is put at 43.5 billion yen.
