Japan, Germany to continue supporting Russia

Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (L) and German President Roman Herzog meet in Berlin on Jan. 11, where they agreed that the two countries will continue to help Russia cope with its prolonged economic crisis. Obuchi arrived in Berlin earlier in the day on the last leg of his eight-day, three-nation European tour, which has already taken him to Italy and France. ==Kyodo
