Konishiki helps passport campaign
Former sumo wrestler Konishiki (L) receives a new passport
Friday Feb. 19 from Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura as part of the
ministry's campaign to prevent passport loss. Konishiki, who was born
Salevaa Atisanoe in Hawaii and became a naturalized Japanese citizen
under the name Yasokichi Shioda in 1994, received a 10-year passport
to replace his expiring five-year passport.
