Japanese economy slightly better
Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (L) presides over a meeting of
his economic ministers, which approved an Economic Planning Agency
(EPA) monthly report on March 16. The report, while retaining a
severe view overall, made a slightly upward revision in its
assessment of the Japanese economy for the first time in four months.
