Obuchi grateful for defeat of no-confidence motion
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (R) expresses his appreciation to members of the House of Representatives on Aug. 11 after a no-confidence motion against his cabinet was rejected at a plenary session, by 354 votes to 134. Standing to his left are Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa and Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiromu Nonaka.
