Disgruntled pitcher May sees his career over at Tigers

OSAKA, Japan - Disgruntled Hanshin Tigers pitcher Darrel May (L) and Hanshin President Yorihiro Takada (R) meets the press at the club's head office in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, on Aug. 12. The Tigers slapped a severe punishment on the former Anaheim Angel, effectively axing him from the Central League club. May had asked the team for his release last week over his dissatisfaction with manager Katsuya Nomura.
