Fresh violence breaks out in E. Timor
DILI, East Timor - Pro-Indonesia militias fire shots at residents and chase away journalists in front of the headquarters of the U.N. Mission in East Timor (UNAMET) in Dili on Sept. 1. At least one man, believed to be a pro-independence resident, was killed in the violence two days after the historic referendum on independence or autonomy in East Timor.
