Indonesia sees U.N. force in E. Timor, general says
TOKYO, Japan - Lt. Gen. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, army chief of staff for territorial affairs, meets reporters in Tokyo on Sept. 3. He said Indonesia is ready to discuss deployment of a U.N. peacekeeping force in East Timor should the result of the Aug. 30 referendum show the people want independence.
