Albright, Japan's Yamamoto hold joint news confab
WASHINGTON, U.S. - Japan's No. 3 Foreign Ministry official Ichita Yamamoto (L) and U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (R) speak to reporters at a joint news conference Oct. 15 in Washington. Earlier, Yamamoto, state foreign secretary, presented a letter from Foreign Minister Yohei Kono to Albright, urging the United States to continue efforts for the ratification of a global treaty to ban nuclear testing.
