Calf of endangered rhino born

OSAKA, Japan - A calf of the endangered black rhinoceros was born Nov. 11 at Osaka Municipal Tennoji Zoological Gardens in Osaka's Tennoji Ward, zoo officials said Nov. 16. The newborn, whose parents are Tommy, a 16-year-old male, and Satchan, a 27-year-old female, is the first black rhino born this year in Japan. Two baby black rhinos were born last year at zoos in Yokohama and Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture.
