Post offices begin accepting New Year's cards
TOKYO, Japan - Posts and Telecommunications Minister Eita Yashiro (C) drops New Year's greeting cards into a mailbox, designed after a dragon as the year 2000 is the Year of the Dragon, at a post office in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on Dec. 15. The ceremony marked the start of post offices nationwide accepting New Year's greeting cards for delivery on New Year's Day.
