Japan ready for Y2K
TOKYO, Japan - With only hours to go before the year 2000, Japan declares itself ready for the Y2K bug on Dec. 31 as Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi (C) launched a task force at his office at 6 p.m. to gather information on problems related to the computer glitch. Obuchi later instructed the 50-strong task force to take all possible measures to tackle the computer problem.
