Antibacterial sand on sale

GIFU, Japan - A worker at a cooperative lumber association in the village of Miya, Gifu Prefecture, watches antibacterial agents being glazed onto specially processed sand. The Carbo-tec Hida association said Jan. 7 it has started selling antibacterial sand produced in this method for use in kindergarten sand pits and golf courses as a hygienic measure against dog and cat dung.
