            Fresh Violence Erupts In Student Protests - Dhaka

            The general teachers of Bangladesh University of Engineering took out a rally from the BUET campus demanding justice for student oppression and killing of innocent people on 31 July 2024. Fresh violence has broken out in Bangladesh between police and student protesters demanding justice for victims of recent unrest. An official in the north-eastern city of Sylhet said demonstrators had attacked police, forcing them to resort to tear gas on Wednesday. Clashes were also reported in the capital Dhaka and other cities. More than 200 people have been killed in this month's violence, mostly as a result of police opening fire. Two giant pandas departed from Ya'an City in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday evening, embarking on a 10-year international giant panda protection cooperation in the United States. It marks a new round of giant panda protection cooperation between the two countries, following the agreement signed in February between the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the San Diego Zoo. Yun Chuan, a 5-year-old male, and Xin Bao, a 4-year-old female, were selected from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP).
