JSA threatens legal action over bout-fixing allegations
TOKYO, Japan - Tokitsukaze, chairman of the Japan Sumo Association (JSA), reads from a letter of written protest Jan. 27, hitting back over allegations made last week by a former wrestler that bout-rigging is part and parcel of Japan's national sport. He said that Keisuke Itai, a former komusubi, had ''damaged the honor'' of sumo, adding JSA's lawyers are currently investigating the possibility of taking legal action.
