Top court nixes compensation demand for 1985 Saitama murder
TOKYO, Japan - A lawyer in front of the Supreme Court holds up a sign Monday that reads, ''the court overturned (a lower court decision),'' referring to a 1985 Saitama murder case. The court overturned the lower court decision ordering parents of three men convicted of raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl to pay 46 million yen in compensation to the girl's parents.
