MITI report stresses value of regional, bilateral trade pacts
TOKYO, Japan - International Trade and Industry Minister Takashi Fukaya (C), is pictured on his way to a cabinet meeting May 16, during which he received approval for the 2000 MITI report. In its annual report, the ministry said regional and bilateral trade agreements help promote competition and expand markets and are becoming increasingly important for Japan.
