Annual antinuclear meetings start in Hiroshima
HIROSHIMA, Japan - The Japan Council Against A and H Bombs (Gensuikyo), backed by the opposition Japanese Communist Party, begins a series of annual meetings on how to eliminate nuclear arms Aug. 2 in Hiroshima. About 300 people, including 78 representatives from 19 countries, attended the first event of the conferences, which will end Aug. 9 in Nagasaki.
