N. Korea's Jo arrives in U.S. for high-level talks
SAN FRANCISCO, U.S. - North Korea's second-most powerful official, Vice Marshal Jo Myong Rok, (L), arrives at San Francisco International Airport for a one-day stopover on Oct. 8, where he was greeted by former Defense Secretary William Perry (R). Perry had been the United States' policy coordinator for North Korea between November 1998 and September 2000. Jo is on his way to Washington and will be the highest-ranking North Korean ever to visit the U.S. capital.
