Zhu tours robot assembly plant in Japan

FUJIYOSHIDA, Japan - Visiting Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji (R front), on a six-day official tour of Japan through Oct. 17, inspects a cutting-edge industrial robot assembly line at a plant run by FANUC Ltd. in the village of Oshino, Yamanashi Prefecture, west of Tokyo, on Oct. 15. During his inspection, the Chinese leader told executives with FANUC, a world leader in industrial robotics, ''Innovations in high-technology fields in Japan are progressing surprisingly.''
