SYDNEY, Japan - Japanese delegates wave ''rising sun'' fans as they march in at the opening ceremony for the Sydney Paralympic Games on Oct. 18. Competition will begin Oct. 19 and go through to Oct. 29, with more than 4,000 athletes competing in 18 sports.
