Mariners officials arrive in Japan to meet Ichiro

OSAKA, Japan - Howard Lincoln, top management official of the Seattle Mariners, waives at photographers on arriving at Kansai International Airport on Nov. 15 to begin contract negotiations with seven-time Pacific League batting champion Ichiro Suzuki. Lincoln leads representatives of the American League club, which won exclusive negotiating rights to Suzuki with a bid of over $13 million earlier this month.

Suzuki leaves for first season in major leagues
