Native American joins walk for peace to Hiroshima
OKAYAMA, Japan - Tom Dostou (C), a Native American leader and peace activist, walks Nov. 26 through the town of Yakage, Okayama Prefecture in western Japan, taking part in a 1,000-kilometer ''peace walk'' from Tokyo to Hiroshima. Dostou, 56, who belongs to the Wabanaki indigenous tribe, is among dozens of activists from across the world carrying a ''peace flame'' to Hiroshima. The group will reach Hiroshima on Dec. 5.
