Former Philippine 'comfort women' lose compensation appeal
TOKYO, Japan - Hortensia Martinez (L), Hilaria Bustamante (C) and Tomasa Salinog (R) speak of their anger at a news conference in Tokyo on Dec. 6 after the Tokyo High Court rejected the appeal they filed with 43 other Filipinas seeking 920 million yen in compensation for allegedly having been forced to provide sex to Japanese soldiers before and during World War II.
