Japanese appointed U.N. under-secretary general
NEW YORK, United States - File photo shows Kenzo Oshima, a Japanese career diplomat, who has been appointed as U.N. under-secretary general in charge of humanitarian affairs and relief operations. The United Nations said Dec. 6 that Oshima, 57, will assume his new post mid-January next year.
