Deodorant utilizing bacterial power developed
HAKODATE, Japan - Photo on Jan. 20 shows new deodorant that harnesses the power of bacteria to eliminate odors. The deodorant was jointly developed by Aki Kogyo, a construction company in Hakodate, Hokkaido, and Yoichi Kadokami, a guest lecturer at the University of Wyoming in the United States, after it was noticed that a strong deodorizing effect occurs when charcoal is soaked in wood acid liquid, a by-product generated in charcoal manufacturing.
