Towel makers decide to ask gov't to halt cheap imports

OSAKA, Japan - Yoshihide Yoshihara (C), president of the Japan Towel Industrial Association, speaks at a news conference in Osaka on Feb. 16. He said his association decided to file a petition calling on the government to invoke the ''safeguard'' clause in international trade rules to counter the recent surge of low-priced towel imports from China.
