BOJ's Yamaguchi speaks in interview

TOKYO, Japan - Bank of Japan (BOJ) Deputy Governor Yutaka Yamaguchi says he is now more cautions about prospects for the Japanese economy than he was last year, signaling the central bank has not ruled out a possible relaxation of its monetary policy. ''I cannot help viewing prospects for economic growth and prices in Japan as considerably more severe than last year,'' Yamaguchi said in an interview with Kyodo News on Feb. 23.
