Japan gov't rep. leaves Honolulu with letters of apology
HONOLULU, United States - Yoshio Mochizuki, Japan's parliamentary foreign secretary, is surrounded by reporters at Honolulu International Airport on Feb. 28 before departing for home. Mochizuki was entrusted with letters of apology by Cmdr. Scott Waddle, the captain of the U.S. submarine Greeneville, which hit and sank the Japanese fisheries training ship Ehime Maru on Feb. 9 off Hawaii.
