Yazaki officials meet press on kidnapping in Colombia

TOKYO, Japan - Officials of major Japanese auto parts maker Yazaki Corp. meet the press at its head office in Tokyo on March 10 on the kidnapping of Chikao Muramatsu, vice president of Yazaki's joint venture in Colombia. Muramatsu, 52, was kidnapped Feb. 22 on the outskirts of Bogota. A local radio report said the kidnappers have demanded some $8 million in ransom money for his release.
