Tokyo stocks prices close at 3-week high
TOKYO, Japan - A price board outside a Tokyo brokerage house shows the Tokyo Stock Exchange Nikkei average up by 439 points to a three-week closing high on August 2. The bellwether index of 225 issues on the First Section jumped 439.87 points to end the day at 12,399.20, its highest finish since July 12.
