Industry-academia tie-up develops new car engines
TOKYO, Japan - Masahiro Yamazaki, president of educational materials venture YGK Co., speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on Aug. 7 on car engines his firm developed in a joint project with academics. He said a team of engineers led by Yoshimasa Hayashi, professor of engineering at Tokai University, has succeeded in developing a 4000 cc sports car engine and a 2000 cc passenger car engine that are quite fuel efficient.
