Malaysian minister looks at controversial textbook

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Malaysian Housing and Local Government Minister Ong Ka Ting (C) looks at a controversial new Japanese history textbook in Kuala Lumpurt on Aug. 12. Ong said his ''blood boiled'' when he read an item in the book that claims Japan's occupation of Malaya, as Malaysia was known then, helped spur the nation's independence from the British.
