Kitagawa grand slam gives Kintetsu Pacific League pennant
OSAKA, Japan - Pinch-hitter Hirotoshi Kitagawa (No. 46) is surrouded by Kintetsu players at home plate after he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning at Osaka Dome on Sept. 26 to give the Buffaloes a 6-5 ''sayonara'' victory over the Orix Bluewave. The Osaka team clinched its first pennant in 12 years.
