Bronze replica of Roman statue unveiled in western Tokyo
TACHIKAWA, Japan - A bronze replica of a statue depicting the legendary twin founders of Rome being nursed by a female wolf is unveiled to the public in a ceremony in Chofu, western Tokyo, on Nov. 13, 2001. The ceremony at Tokyo Stadium was held to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the signing of a friendship agreement between Rome and Tokyo. Italian Ambassador to Japan Gabriele Menegatti and Chofu Mayor Katsuyuki Yoshio attended the ceremony.
