Waskow takes command of U.S. forces in Japan, replacing Hester
TOKYO, Japan - Lt. Gen. Thomas Waskow, new commander of the U.S. forces in Japan, receives a military flag from Lt. Gen. Paul Hester during a ceremony at Yokota Air Base in western Tokyo on Nov. 19. Hester, who served in the post for about two years, will take command of Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurburt Field, in Florida.
