Int'l team to extract gas from 'burning ice'

WASHINGTON, United States - Handout photo shows frozen methane or methane hydrate burning. It's also called ''burning ice.'' An international team, made up of researchers from Japan, the United States, Canada, Germany and India, will soon launch the world's first experiment to extract natural gas from the vast deposit of frozen methane lying deep in the ground.
