Taisho, Tanabe scrap merger plan
TOKYO, Japan - Akira Ohira (R), vice president of Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., and Natsuki Hayama, vice president of Tanabe Seiyaku Co. announce at a press conference at the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Dec. 3 that the two companies have agreed to scrap their plans to integrate their operations under a holding company.
