Social psychology pioneer Minami dies at 87
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese pioneer social psychologist Hiroshi Minami (file photo) died Dec. 17 of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital. He was 87. Minami, a professor emeritus at the state-run Hitotsubashi University, wrote numerous books, including ''Shakai Shinrigaku'' (Social Psychology) in 1949, which has been used as a standard textbook at Japanese universities.
