Wife of ex-Aomori exec says she will keep embezzled money

SANTIAGO, Chile - Anita Ester Alvarado Munoz, wife of Yuji Chida, who has admitted to embezzling 1.42 billion yen from Aomori Prefectural Housing Supply Public Corp., meets the press in her restaurant in Santiago on Dec. 20. Alvarado said she has no intention of returning the money her husband gave her. Chida, who was accounting manager of the housing corporation, is suspected of having sent some 500 million yen to Alvarado, whom he met in Aomori in 1997.
