(6)Int'l donors confab on Afghan reconstruction begins in Tokyo

TOKYO, Japan - Hamid Karzai (standing), leader of the Afghan interim government, appeals for international aid to help rehabilitate his war-torn country at an international donors conference on Afghan reconstruction in a Tokyo hotel on Jan. 21. Representatives from about 60 nations began the two-day meeting the same day.
