Miyazaki-designed animation museum to open Oct. 1

TOKYO, Japan - An animation museum based on the ideas of popular animation-film director Hayao Miyazaki is opened to the press on Sept. 17 in Mitaka in western Tokyo, prior to its official opening Oct. 1. The Ghibli Museum, located in Inokashira Park, is a joint project of the city of Mitaka and Miyazaki, who also serves as the head of the museum.
