Japan, S. Korea initiate accord on extradition treaty
SEOUL, South Korea - Officials from Japan and South Korea shake hands at South Korea's Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry in Seoul on Jan. 24 after initiating an agreement on an extradition treaty. The two countries hope to sign the treaty formally when Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi visits South Korea, possibly in March.
