Sapporo citizens making 10,000 snowmen
SAPPORO, Japan - People in Sapporo, the prefectural capital of Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island, have been making 10,000 small snowmen in the city to resister an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. Organizers have been calling on Sapporo residents and visitors to the city's Snow Festival to take part in making the snowmen from Jan. 26 to Feb. 12.
