Ministry official took care of Suzuki remittance
TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows the ''Suzuki Hall,'' a part of a junior high school completed in Tanzania in September 2001 with Japanese foreign aid. It was named after Muneo Suzuki, a Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker. A Foreign Ministry in-house probe showed March 1 that the ministry transmitted $70,000 (8 million yen) to Tanzania on behalf of Suzuki as a donation for construction of the school facilities.
