114-year-old Japanese woman becomes world's oldest person

NEW YORK, United States - Kamato Hongo (photo), a 114-year-old woman in Kagoshima, southwestern Japan, became the oldest person in the world on March 18 following the death of Maude Farris-Luse in Coldwater, Michigan, at the age of 115 years and 56 days.
