Yellow sand from China hits Korea, Japan
TOKYO, Japan - Photo released by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shows large amounts of yellow sand blown across from northeastern China have reached part of the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese archipelago. Pyongyang's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported March 23 that the desert dust has been harming human health and damaging machinery in the country.
