Doshisha climbers to tackle unscaled Himalayan mountain

KYOTO, Japan - Doshisha University climbers' club will undertake an expedition to scale Mount Ronglai Kangri (in file photo) and become the first to scale the 6,859-meter Himalayan mountain, the Kyoto-based school said Aug. 2. The seven-member team, led by professor Shinichi Ota, will leave for Nepal on Aug. 18 and start to climb the mountain in late September. (Kyodo)
